The Barista and Manager role is pivotal to the success and operational excellence of our coffee kiosk. This individual combines passion for coffee and customer service with effective management and leadership skills. The role demands a commitment to quality, safety, and the values that our kiosk stands for, including outstanding service, eco-friendliness, support for local producers and charities, and kindness to all. The ideal candidate will be eager to grow and prosper within our team, aspiring to become the Kiosk Manager with a focus on public and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Barista Duties: ○ Prepare high-quality beverages, championing the quality of coffee. ○ Assess and ensure the quality of coffee through regular quality checks. ○ Manage every operational aspect of the coffee department, including maintenance of equipment and coffee beans ordering. ○ Engage with customers, providing excellent service and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Manager Duties: ○ Responsible for opening and closing the kiosk, managing stock, and overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth running. ○ Uphold high standards of presentation, cleanliness, health & safety compliance, and quality control. ○ Cultivate a safe workplace, adhering to health and safety legislation. ○ Serve as a role model in maintaining the kiosk’s standards and values, particularly regarding eco-friendliness, support for local initiatives, and exceptional customer service.

Requirements: ● Proven barista experience with a passion for coffee culture. ● Previous management or supervisory experience in a coffee shop or similar environment is highly beneficial but not essential. ● Strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills. ● Food safety certification beneficial but not essential.

Benefits: ● You will be entitled to 17 days paid holiday per calendar year in addition to the normal annual public holidays. ● Pension options are available and will be discussed after a probationary period of employment.
