We’re looking for an experienced cafe manager to lead and develop our community cafe.
ARC Collective is a community space offering a range of events and experiences to local people. We also have our own yoga studio, food bank and are the proud custodians of 5 local community garden spaces. The revenue we generate goes right back into our community projects offering food, essentials, yoga, events and socials at truly accessible pricing. Our cafe sits at the heart of our venue and has a reputation for excellent coffee, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Essential:
Being a speciality coffee enthusiast and exceptional Barista Providing leadership and reliability Overseeing cafe operations, budgets, ordering and smooth daily operation Ensuring excellent customer service Be a friendly face for our regulars Leading our front of house team, FOH rotas, team training Coordinate and oversee seasonal events and private bookings (including running a bar for our evening events) Have experience of simple food prep (making sandwiches etc)
Desirable:
Under your leadership, we hope to develop our food offer so, somebody with experience of menu development, a chef, or somebody who can work with others to implement a simple, hearty menu would be at an advantage.
We are working towards a zero waste environment, so an interest in implementing related processes would be welcome.
Our cafe is open 8am to 2pm, Tuesday to Sunday (shifts running 7:30am to 2:30pm) with one full weekend off every month.
